Mabel’s cottage is located in the village of Longnor ,a village nestled within the hills of the National Peak District. The village has a well stocked general store with an off-license, a post office which has a range of loaves and preserves, a fish and chip shop and sweet shop. There are other towns close by Hartington, Leek, Buxton, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Chatsworth Estate which has many independent shops, cafes and a variety of restaurants plus the Opera House in Buxton, which has shows on weekly.
