I’ve been travelling to the Lake District for years, and this is by the far the nicest hotel, best location, best service and comfiest rooms I have ever experienced. If you are at all undecided about where to stay on your next Lake District, and the Hawswater Hotel is available, book it!!

I had a lovely stay at Lowthwaite B&B and felt very welcome by Jim. The B&B is in great location for hiking and just a short drive into town. The room was immaculate and very comfortable.

The cottage was in a very good location with everything you needed for a lovely stay. It was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone staying in Bowness on Windermere. The small touches added by Andrew and Kate were very much appreciated! We had the best time.

Great place to stay, idea location for Windermere, the owners Jane and Paul were very friendly and made you feel at home, the guest house was very nice, the bedroom was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent, with plenty to eat to give you a very good start to the day
I would recommend staying there if your in Windermere

A Great place to stay with a great location! There were personal touches such as home made biscuits, fresh cake daily, milk and water which was a bonus. Nick our host was lovely too. We had a Fab breakfast would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location for restaurants, shops etc. Lovely enclosed courtyard, which was good for our dog Parking directly outside either free on street or car park for 24 hrs less than £10. Superb communication pre-stay from hosts. Very clean apartment - cosy lounge, modern kitchen & bathroom, really comfortable bed. This is a lovely place to stay even if you went in the winter months, the whole apartment had homely cosy feel.

Great location, quiet and picturesque. Very handy for visiting Bowness & Windermere. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and the very large bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, as was the food in the restaurant. All in all it was a great place to stay and would visit again.
Would definitely recommend the Cuckoo Brow Inn.

Good location in Nether Wasdale:) The lady who served us in the morning, was kind and friendly. The gentleman who served us, on arrival, was lukewarm friendly and we noticed he was giving faster service to local patrons. Sadly, it was my first ever hotel stay in the UK:(

Great location next to the city center. The room has everything you need: iron, extra towels, and toothbrush. If you forget anything, just ask, and they'll provide it. Free parking is available next to the hotel.

This property is in a really good location for those wanting to do activities in both Ambleside, and the surrounding areas in the lake district, due to it being less than five minutes away from two bus stops. The house itself was really cozy, and although we only stayed for a week, it really felt like a home. The facilities are great, and the amount of cooking equipment that was available was very welcome! Overall, Acorn Cottage was a really lovely place to stay.

The room was perfect.
So beautiful and the bath was amazing.
We loved having a little kitchen as well, everything you needed for a short stay.
Check in was easy.
Location was amazing you could get to everything within walking distance.
The owners sent a list of recommended places to eat for dinner and breakfast which really helped! We chose one of their recommendations and the meal was perfect.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay!
