Staff was wonderful and attentive.. Location was great. Hotel rooms were spacious and had many nice touches.

Definitely a highlight of our trip. Such a gorgeous place; felt like we were in an episode of Downton Abbey or something. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake, and even though it was cold and rainy, the hotel was cosy, warm and inviting, and set up perfectly for the Christmas period. Lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay there again.

This was a wonderful experience and I loved the room, the view from the room, the staff, the grounds, the meals, the library and sitting rooms. The bar was nice and both restaurants served lovely meals.

Breakfasts were great, staff very friendly and helpful.

This was our last stop of our Scotland road trip and did not disappoint . The room was large and very nicely decorated. We were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us a recommendation for dinner in an Italian restaurant a 10 minute walk from from the hotel , it was amazing . We had a lovely breakfast the next morning before leaving to head home .

Everything was perfect and well taken care of. Will stay again !

For such a small space, it was thoughtfully designed and the quality of the room and everything in it was just beautiful!

The property is very close to the train station.. great location to the high street. Quiet at night and nice walk to the lake (1.5km).

The location was perfect, 100m from train station and very central to city centre. I loved the minimal contact with staff and the room was very comfy and clean!

Th breakfast is great, the staff is lovely and the room just wonderful. I like hotels paying attention to small details.

Perfectly located on a gorgeous and quiet street, with their own parking spaces. It's just one short block from all of the shops in Windermere, and a great hike to the lookout point for the views. Hop in your car for a short journey to the lake and more shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, quiet, and inviting for a night in with a glass of wine in the lobby. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff were very friendly. Loved all of the details in the room and the property. If you're interested in less touristy food, it's only a 30 minute drive to Ambleside, which has some fantastic restaurants and less tourists.

This is a great location in the city center, very convenient and close to the station, lots of places to eat and relax.

The bath and bed are excellent

For someone who does not have a vehicle, the location is ideal. It's just around the corner from a Sainsbury's Local, with a Greggs across the street, and other eateries further up the road. Given the location, the price is very nice. Being in the town center, the flat is equidistant for several paths to Lake Windermere, and a short walk to the trail head for Orest Head, as well as to the train/bus station.

The hostess is very nice. The location is in the center of town. The room is very cozy and clean. Highly recommended.
