The location was within easy walking distance of the cathedral and town. It was located on a very quiet street and their beautiful gardens were most enjoyable. The staff were delightful and very helpful. Someone was always on duty. The room was very clean and lovely decor with a very comfortable bed. Very enjoyable English breakfast. I would be thrilled to return and also tell our friends about such a delightful place to stay.

What a lovely place to stay and in such a beautiful location, staff are very friendly and make you feel so welcome, my room had a very comfy bed with a compact ensuite which had a really good shower, Breakfast was of a very high standard with quality produce, would definitely recommend.

I’ve been travelling to the Lake District for years, and this is by the far the nicest hotel, best location, best service and comfiest rooms I have ever experienced. If you are at all undecided about where to stay on your next Lake District, and the Hawswater Hotel is available, book it!!

I had a lovely stay at Lowthwaite B&B and felt very welcome by Jim. The B&B is in great location for hiking and just a short drive into town. The room was immaculate and very comfortable.

The cottage was in a very good location with everything you needed for a lovely stay. It was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone staying in Bowness on Windermere. The small touches added by Andrew and Kate were very much appreciated! We had the best time.

Great place to stay, idea location for Windermere, the owners Jane and Paul were very friendly and made you feel at home, the guest house was very nice, the bedroom was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent, with plenty to eat to give you a very good start to the day

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good location. Our dog was made welcome and was even given a dish of sausages for breakfast. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Another bonus was that you could walk from here without having to get into the car. If, like us, you aren't keen on the really busy areas of the Lakes this is a perfect place to stay.
