I will never forget his warm welcome, which made me feel as I stay in my own home not in a foreign place, and this is the ultimate goal of all hotels. He truly deserves to be recognized as the best employee.

The staff was super friendly and even though we arrived way to early, we were able to check in early. Our room was very spacious and super clean. The beds were the best though! Very cozy. We also loved the pool area. The rooftop location is fantastic!

We absolutely loved our stay at Cheong Fatt Tze - The Qing Suites. The location is amazing, everything you’d want to see in George Town is within walking distance from the hotel. The rooms themselves are gorgeous and the history behind the Blue Mansion makes the place all the more special. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even letting us use a shower after checking out so we were fresh for our late evening flight. 10/10 would recommend staying here if you’re visiting George Town!

Great location! A hostel with a swimming pool, plus a free towel is provided—they even replaced mine on the second day of my three‑day stay without my asking. Free bottled water is available daily, and the bathroom and shower area are spacious and clean.

Central location to old city of Penang. Plenty of eating options, including a fresh fruit +veg market. Plenty of nightlife options. Staff were friendly, efficient, professional and knowledgeable.
