Location was amazing. We stayed there for our Inverness trip and it was also our wedding anniversary. It was great that they decorated our room with balloons and left a nice note.

We were traveling by motorbike and the staff went out of there way to accommodate us. There is a dedicated area to dry and warm your kit when you are done riding for the day. There is also a covered garage to store your motorbike for the evening. The "Fox's Den" is a wonderful room to sit by the fire and warm yourself after a long days ride.

Highlands Highlights

Loch Ness and Highland scenery

Loch Ness has a dramatic setting, sheltered by looming mountains and a lush landscape. Boat trips are available all year round.

The Highlands’ whisky distilleries

The Highlands is one of Scotland’s main whisky-producing regions and is known for its variety of unique single malts.

Trek up Ben Nevis and through the Great Glen

The UK’s highest peak, Ben Nevis proves the ultimate challenge for many. The Great Glen Way is great to explore by foot, bike or boat.

Skiing at Glencoe

Passing gorges and stunning waterfalls, the road through Glencoe leads to some of Scotland’s best skiing, climbing and walking.

Walk the West Highland Way

This 96-mile route winds through gorgeous scenery and varied terrain. Look out for the Glenfinnan Viaduct, recognisable to any Harry Potter fan.

Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye

Few parts of the Highlands and Islands are more eye-catching than these crystal-clear blue pools, which make for some great photo opportunities.

Drive from Ullapool to Durness

If hiking isn't your thing, the Highlands also offers plenty of scenic driving. Ullapool to Durness will take you past million-year-old rock formations.

The Black Isle Show

This agricultural show on the Black Isle is a stone’s throw from Inverness. Visitors flock to its 300 trade stands, flower show and food fair.

John O'Groats dramatic landscape

The UK’s most northerly point, John O’Groats boasts wildlife spotting along the coast including seals, dolphins and killer whales.

Dolphin spotting on the Moray Firth

Home to the world's largest Bottlenose dolphins, the Moray Firth’s boat trips allow visitors to catch a glimpse of these animals’ acrobatics.

I arrived with my partner for his birthday and we both had a great stay there. The staff was amazing and very friendly, they even gave my partner a birthday card with the best wishes from them all and put a candle in his desert. We really enjoyed staying in one of their pods- floor heating was a nice surprise to have in the wintery days. The full Scottish breakfast was very tasty and so was their dinner. We tasted their rum and had tasty beer in their cute small bar. The location is great! So many things to see and enjoy around. I highly recommend the place and wish I can visit them again in the near future.

The atmosphere / vibe of the Inn, the location, the food, the staff, the amazing bar and restaurant out the back. Bonus - it was adults-only. Local musicians came and played for us on the Sunday night which really made our evening. The room was cozy, warm, the beds were really comfortable, and the views outside when you wake up of the mountains are incredible!

Location was amazing, house clean and spacious, had everything is needed from kitchen appliances and cooking equipment. Own spa in the house, nice rooms, open space kitchen living room, with log burner, 2 bathrooms. Being winter we were worried that is not going to be warm enough in the house but was great. Would certainly be back

Beautiful and convenient location. In front of the loch, close to Fort William and all services. Clean, comfortable, quiet with everything you need. We travelled via the Highlands and it was spectacular views! Fort William has a few known shops but not many restaurants so book a table if you are going. We had dinner at the cinema and food was ok, then took a stroll round the town. Just outside the town is a shipwreck you can walk to and a multi layered lock which was impressive. It’s not too far from Loch Ness. It’s quite touristy but that is expected as it’s on the foot of Ben Nevis.

Ullapool is an attractive port and small town with some great restaurants and cafes. We had a fine fresh seafood supper and malt whisky tasting at the Seaforth restaurant. Considering its size and location it is pretty cosmopolitan. We visited a pub with live music and a wonderful atmosphere. There is also a garage with E5 fuel which is a consideration in this part of the world.

To visit the Isle of skye requires time if you really wish to see what’s there. We spent two nights in a guest house in Broadford, which was a great location and a little less expensive than the rest of the island. There are plenty of restaurants and food choices around and Portree is an easy drive. I would recommend travelers have at least three nights on the Isle of Skye if you really want to see and walk what’s there

Drumnadrocht is in the heart of Loch Ness which is a lovely place. The Village of Drumnadrochit has little to offer, overpriced and awful food, little choice, not much to do unless you want to look at tourist tatt all day long. If I was to go again, I would stay in Inverness city and travel to the Loch Ness activities, its not far away. The city is great and has lots of choice.
