Great spot in the lagoon. Rooms are tidy and comfortable. Staff is amazing, welcoming and warm. 24/7 tea, coffee and water available. Activities included during the stay are great, we participated in soundhealing and the kayaking.

Fabulous small hotel in a good location to explore Bacalar. No lagoon access so be aware you have to pay for that, or find one of the few and crowded free peers. But the rooms were clean and comfortable, friendly staff, good breakfast.

The pools are fantastic, right out your door. Very secure with staff always available. Access to private lagoon area across the street. Walking distance to almost anywhere in town.

The breakfast was amazing! Huge and with choses and delicious beyond expectations for "breakfast included" . Beautiful roof top with hammocks and panoramic views. Great location, a short walk to the centre. Recommend the sailing trip on the Lagoon!

The room with the lake view was absolutely amazing. The staff was professional, friendly, and always willing to help. The location is a perfect 10/10—beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. The bed was by far my favorite part of the stay; it was exceptionally comfortable and made for a great night's sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything! The location, the property and beautiful garden, the breakfast, the rooms and best of all the staff and assistant pets (especially meserito the cute tux cat). Thanks so much everyone at Chukum for making our stay in Bacalar so memorable

We particularly liked the energy of the place and the staff. We felt very welcome and "at home" right from the start. Rodrigo showed us around the whole complex and answered our questions. We really liked the Nest and Julia's yoga classes were brilliant. The location is also great if you want to walk to the center or go out to eat. The hotel's own bikes were also good. We booked a massage on the last day: Julie and Abdel did a great job.

the constant view of the lagoon, there is barely any music so you can listen to the birds and the water. rooms are big and fresh.

Picturesque location and friendly staff. The room was spacious, set up for peak relaxation and had a view of the lake. Loved the mix of the natural beauty of the lake, lily pads and pool!

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the direct laguna view cabañas and enjoyed tremendously everything: from the hosts, Bernie and Sam who were very welcoming and helpful, to the amazing views and setting, the confort of the rooms to the very nice and healthy food available throughout the day. We liked the place so much that we ended up staying there throughout our stay, just enjoying the beauty of the place. A true slow living experience!

One of the most beautiful properties in the world I've ever stayed at. The crystal clear lagoon (with no animals!) was absolute heaven. Rodrigo and his entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. I will be returning for years to come.
