"Great city to visit and explore by foot. Many options for cafes& restaurants. We loved restaurant Saint Moritz on Paraguay & Esmeralda. Ate there 4 times on our week long trip. Money exchange is confusing for a tourist. I exchanged US dollars with the taxi driver & got a bad rate of 380 /1 USD. A B of A credit card exchanged about 410. I didn't withdraw from the ATM so I don't know that rate. There are many people soliciting for cambio on the main streets (Florida, Lavalle). I think we could have gotten around 450 that way if I hadn't already exchanged with the taxi. There are also some unofficial houses of cambio on the main streets probably exchanging for around 420. We saw 3 Tango espectaculos . Tango Porteno was pretty good. Cafe Tortoni tango showi I don't recommend. Los Angelitos cafe tango show was the best of the three. Having the dinner with the show is over priced. We went with drinks (all you can drink wine) only (includes 2 empanadas)."

"We came to just see the Iguazu Falls on both Argentina and Brazil side, they were amazing, I would highly recommend visiting, we didn't do much traveling into the town, we stayed at the Gran Melia Hotel and pretty much just hiked the falls"

"Mendoza is absolutely beautiful. We weren't here for long but we explored the local shops and saw the parque de san martin - highly recommend. The streets are clean, locals were very friendly and indulgent of my attempts at Spanish. One has to watch for panhandlers and pickpockets (hold on to your purses and bags in public. Shops take us dollars and I was able to use my debit card with no problem. Please see Mendoza!"

"I would recommend this vacation for anyone who likes hiking, fishing and breathtaking views. The hotel we stayed in was right on the Nahuel Huapi Lake. Personally, that was half the joy. We stayed at Charming Luxury Lodge which was 5 miles from town but walking distance to many restaurants. Each room had a terrace to sit with the local, very inexpensive wine and cheese and take in the view. Tours picked us up at the hotel. My husband also had the best fishing experience of his life there. My son did some killer scrambling. I hiked to the Llao Llao peak - a must do if you are a hiker and love beautiful views. As for tours, we enjoyed the boat trip over to Lake Victoria and the Arranyes Forest. Keep in mind Argentina is an AMAZING value right now due to the exchange rate."

"The archetype of the Argentinean 20's 50's middle class, Rosario has many samples of elegant architecture. Walk it up and down, from the river to the boulevards, keeping your eyes up to see beautiful old buildings. Or if you prefer to saunter or jog along the Paraná River, you have miles to go admiring the occasional red flowered ceibos, blue flowered jacarandás, the Palo Borrachos, and the brown, persistent river. There are plenty of restaurants catering to European tastes. Cafés in every corner. Getting around is easy, mostly on foot, but also by taxi, bus. Although I was warned about security, I did not find any problem"
