Cheddar is a lovely town with lots of nice gift shops and places to eat. A lot of places are dog friendly which is good for us. Cheddar Reservoir was nice to walk around, very scenic. Have visited a few times and will definitely visit again.

The caves were amazing...well worth a visit.

The caves were amazing...well worth a visit. Must admit I was a bit concerned as I have a mobility issue and walk with a stick...I was totally fine and thoroughly enjoyed both caves. Had a coffee and cake in Gough Caves cafe when we came out before doing the other cave. Maybe I hadn't thought about it but I was amazed to find out they store Chedder cheese in the caves..totally gobsmacked. The shops are lovely to walk round, the ice cream shops are gorgeous. Plenty of cafes and tea shops. Nowhere is cheap...quite expensive but it's a tourist place... to be expected. Take sandwiches if on a budget.

Breathtaking scenery.Really felt immersed in the environment. The little village of Cheddar was so quaint. We visited in the evening as well and it had such a magical atmosphere.Very pretty. We had a meal in a Greek Restaurant (oops sadly I can't remember the name) which was a welcome change from the usual fare & delightful.Great atmosphere & super friendly staff. My only regret is we didn't have time to experience the area to the full.A second visit,I think!!!

The host was just lovely. I made a right dogs’ breakfast of the booking which she resolved so graciously and easily. An extra twin bed was made up for us. Breakfast was nice. Parking was directly outside. The place is as clean as a pin. The shower was great. It was perfect for sightseeing cheddar gorge. As a special treat we got to meet the two gorgeous resident collies (usually kept well out of the way). Thanks!
