The property is very charming, I loved having our own flat with two bedrooms for my son and I. I asked the manager if he had detergent for the washer and he made sure to leave me pods so I could do a load when I arrived. What a lovely place this is.

This is our second visit to Skipbridge farm and won’t be our last. This year we stayed in Wally’s Wife, it’s absolutely amazing! So cosy and the interior is beautiful. It’s filled with all your essentials you need for your stay. The Eco hot tub was already nice and warm for when we arrived. We brought coal with us this year and did a bbq (there’s already a disposable one waiting for you) and built a fire. Plenty of wood, kindling, fire lighters and matches to keep the hot tub going. Everything’s all ready for you when you arrive, no messing around with checking in. Lovely peaceful surroundings and well distanced from others on the site. Only short drive from York city centre and the York outlet.

The owners should be very proud of a pub and accommodation that looks after its guests so well, and of a team of staff who are eager to go above and beyond even when the owners themselves were on holiday. We stayed for one night over a bank holiday weekend, and it was very good value for money. The food we purchased for dinner was exceptional, we were genuinely impressed. The staff were all accommodating of extra requests we made such as putting dog food in the fridge, and finding a table we could reserve for the live music night at the last minute.

Loved the staff. They are the most welcoming ever. It felt like we were staying with old friends! The room was comfortable and clean, the food was good, and the atmosphere was really fun. A lot of imagination went into the making of the inn.!

A very rural location, plenty of parking and easy access to the Inn, Accessability is excellent with a lift to the accommodation level. The service both in the bar and dining room was esxcellent. The served breakfast instead of a buffet was much appreciated The standard of the food is simply superior, absolute serendipity for such a remote location.

Stayed there as we had a booking at Yorkshire Heart Winery for a tour, tasting and lunch, didn't fancy trying glamping! The Bay Horse is a great pub and the Post Office/Shop/Café across the road is a brilliant hub.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Skipfarm for a romantic getaway, and it was absolutely wonderful. The place was beautiful, spotless, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our railway-themed cabin was unique and charming — such a lovely touch that added to the York experience. The hot tub was the perfect highlight of our stay. It was very reasonably priced and perfect for couples looking for a relaxing escape. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing spacious cottage , fabulous hot tub.

Amazing spacious cottage , fabulous hot tub. Everything you need in cottage I.E microwave , oven fridge , tv . Nice outdoor garden when the weather is nice Lovely walk around the cottages ( lots of farm animals ) Recommend to anyone . Families, couples even to stay solo for a nice break.

The location is peaceful and perfect for a countryside getaway, yet conveniently close to York’s attractions. The cottage had a charming rustic feel, and the beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The heating was effective, keeping us warm even on cold nights. The outdoor seating area was a nice touch, and the farm surroundings added to the charm. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it for a relaxing countryside retreat!

We stayed in Wallys Wagon for the night and have to say, it was an amazing night! We had the ponies, alpacas and donkeys greeting us right by our wagon! The space is great, especially if you have a dog as they’re basically enclosed gardens. The fact the hot tub is private and closed off too is a really nice touch! We drove the the pub up the road, the Bay Horse Inn and had some food which was lovely. We will definitely be visiting again soon :)

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Want to commend the staff for being so accommodating. We were in the area for a wedding and needed to drop off our car 3 hours before check in time and return to the hotel at midnight after the pub had closed. The staff were more than helpful, making arrangements for us to be able to get into our room late at night without us needing to return to the hotel during the wedding to pick up the keys whilst the pub was still open. Very grateful!

Fantastic quiet location, perfect spot and not too far from the M1. The staff were really fantastic; welcoming and there was great food in the pub for dinner. The room we stayed in had a very comfortable bed. The area was lovely and quiet. A perfect place to stop for the night if journeying north or south by comparison to motorway services hotels.
