our first night at the hotel If you can call it that it's more of a bed and breakfast kind of place. although technically they don't do breakfast. they do lunch and dinner and they play bingo and we won three games haha. got some cookies and a few bucks.. kind of seem to be the place to be at night in this little town. It was very near the place to be in the morning in town for breakfast, but that's another story. everyone was very friendly and the food at the restaurant was really good. the room was fine. the bathrooms were clean. everything was good. breakfast was you know some cereal and toast so nothing special but it was there for you.

We went for a room with a spa pool. It was lovely to put the baby to bed and chill out in the spa in the evening. We loved the breakfast in the conservatory every day. The staff were absolutely lovely and accomodating.

The location is superb… the view and the main building is very appealing. The fact that dinner and breakfast is included at a level comparable to a Michelin restaurant add a ton of value to staying here.

The location is brilliant . Really quiet and next door to the Harry Potter landmark of the cottage where he was born ! We were greeted on arrival and made welcome . It's a short walk to The anchor where we had a really good dinner and admired all the Christmas lights . Lacock has very little in the way of street lights so it was even more magical at Christmas . The four poster bed was comfy and the little house was warm and cosy . Breakfast was brought to us at the time of our choosing , there's a very good coffee machine . Everything was clean and we have no complaints .

Lovely well preserved village.

Lovely well preserved village. Beware the traffic on the main road - it gets rolling from 5:00am and is generally busy, with lorries and other work vehicles. It is also a bus route. If you are coming by car, please use the Old Ham Tree car park, as parking on side roads is limited and can hinder farmers. The church is a lovely peaceful place. You can walk around the churchyards and further afield. There is more to see than I have visited, including National Trust gardens.

Very basic facilities . Poor decor.

Very basic facilities . Poor decor. Had to place cups etc on floor to safely boil kettle and make a brew on arrival, as the shelf was so small. No dressing table! ( may be an issue for some guests) Self service breakfast was bread for toast, cerial and instant tea or coffee. No tv in rooms. Tv was a small screen in breakfast room. Communal bathroom had numerous tooth paste tubes etc left on window cill. Family member reported bedding was stained in their room.

Holt was ok, the ham in was not good, breakfast was a piece...

Holt was ok, the ham in was not good, breakfast was a piece of toast or a bowl of cereal from a storage jar, in a shared breakfast area, it was dire!!!, the actual pub is closed Monday and Tuesdays, who knew !!!! we were not informed of this, The stairs to the room were small and difficult to get up with a case. England played on the night we were there and the pub was closed, no World Cup fever here .....

A good place to stay if you don’t want bells and whistles. It was clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable. Some of the fixture where broken so I could hang up my coat and it was dated BUT what needed to work, worked and was as I expected for what I paid. Been in worse and paid much more for less.

Lovely little place with a very friendly host. Great for three couples, though one room has two singles (i.e. suitable for kids). The home is a little quirky, but that's part of the charm. Lovely to be in Holt, away from the tourists, yet close to The Courts (NT garden) and the great Tollhouse pub. Five minute drive into delightful Bradford. Home is very clean and spacious. Highly recommend.

Situated in the pretty village of Holt, the pub is very much a community hub serving good wholesome meals. There was a well - attended quiz night the evening I was there. Fantastic value!
