Easy to access the property.

Easy to access the property. The walk along the coast into Salcombe was okay but don’t use the footpath (just after the castle) as it gets very step and difficult to climb (I did it but I am 83 years old). Devon roads are very narrow and difficult to pass oncoming vehicles. I am amazed what I did without damaging my car! I did go via South Pool via East Portlemouth and Start Point so I was a bit adventurous but it was all great!

Salcombe is a place to rest and enjoy the beaches we did...

Salcombe is a place to rest and enjoy the beaches we did Mill bay kids loved the ferry trip. Then walked to north Sands and south sands lovely views ( on day 2. ) We alternated each day, eating at the Winking Prawn and buying daily at the Bakery in the high street , quiches, drinks, cakes. The Victoria Pub provides a great menu. The grandchildren loved Bojangles for trinkets and small items.

It is a beautiful area but very hilly, difficult if you have mobility issues, although I would go there again 100%. Boat trip around the harbour 1 hour, Phil the driver very knowledgeable and entertaining. A lovely trip indeed. Lots of amenities, everything you could need.

Salcombe town can be busy but it is quaint.

Salcombe town can be busy but it is quaint. The area is quite hilly so be prepared to walk. Had been to Salcombe during a busy August and it can be too crowded but in mid July it was more acceptable in terms of crowds.

Salcombe is a very beautiful but very hilly place.

Salcombe is a very beautiful but very hilly place. Be prepared to climb hills and be out of breath. It is full of "Waitrose crowd" in their Rangers and EVs. (There is no Waitrose though, just a small Co-op) There are nice pubs and restaurants with amazing views. The place is very similar to Fowey in Cornwall.

Salcombe is beautiful, stunning location.

Salcombe is beautiful, stunning location. We had a lovely boat trip along the estuary. Only issue is parking. There is limited parking in the town and the pay machines only take coins. Internet is limited so it is hard to pay on the app.

Beautifully located lodge. End of row. Peaceful. Clean. Well equipped and very comfortable. The lodge has lots of lovely features that reflect its location. Local art work, nic nacs, lamps, furniture. Plenty of towels. 2 bathrooms is great. Good showers with lots of hot water and great water pressure. Lovely outside deck and seating area. Dog friendly. Located very close to an open dog exercise field. Short drive to Salcombe and surrounding villages. Lovely coastal walks nearby. Really is a home from home.

The hotel was beautiful, the room was clean and spacious. The bed was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! It was easy to park and the staff were very friendly. Free gin in the room however if you wanted a mixer with it you had to buy one from the mini bar. Food in the restaurant was lovely. We had a sea view room and it was definitely worth paying the extra for.

Fabulous hotel made by the staff who were constantly doing their very best. We absolutely loved it and hope to visit again. Breaky was fabulous and we especially enjoyed the location requiring to get the speedboat into salcombe from next door- it made it really fun and memorable.

Salcombe has been a holiday destination when the children were little & having a exceptional experience in the Harbour Hotel in Guildford; it seemed a good choice of hotel. Loved the grapefruit margaritas, fish & chips and outstanding continental breakfast.
