Gospatric House is one of the oldest houses in the village, formerly part of the local estate. It is a traditional stone house with good sized rooms, walled garden conservatory and orangery.

We both enjoy sharing our home and meeting people We also enjoy walking and travelling.

The village is situated in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is well positioned for further trips into the wider Yorkshire Dales or North Yorkshire Moors. Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough, Skipton, Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks, Stump Cross Caverns and Lightwater Valley are all within striking distance. For horse racing fans there are racecourses at Ripon, Catterick, Thirsk and Wetherby, Facilities within the village include a local shop, public house, fish and chip shop , butchers and a garage. Masham is close by and holds a Saturday market and has the famous Theakston's Brewery and the Black Sheep Brewery.
