Property info

The Royal Oak Public House in Ripon has a rich history dating back to its establishment in the 18th century. It was once owned by the Askwith family and is believed to have been where King Charles I spent a night during the Battle of Marston Moor. The pub is a significant part of Ripon's history, serving as a place of refreshment and a venue for various events. Our location on Kirkgate, a key thoroughfare in the city, has contributed to its historical importance. The pub's conversion to a pedestrian-only route allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of Kirkgate while enjoying refreshments at this historic establishment. We offer high quality pub food, real ales from Timothy Taylor's, cocktails, hand picked wines and a warm and welcoming atmosphere from staff who take pride in good customer service.

Neighborhood info

With the cathedral just at the end of the street from us we are the perfect pit stop. Fountains abbey & Newby hall are only some of the local attractions.
