Very close to Kingston Flyer where we took the train trip. Convenient location for travel to Jack's Point & Queenstown as well as Lumsden & Garston townships. Set high on a hill, the views are magnificent. It snowed all night and woke to a winter wonderland...magical! Hosts Mary and Jon were welcoming and thought of everything for a very comfortable and warm stay.

The Garston Lodge is a heritage building. It is obviously older, but well maintained. Room was small, but fine for a single person. Tea, when I got there was much appreciated. Breakfast, self serve, was also excellent.

traditional hotel with a lovely clean and updated room.
Faciltiy to make your own drinks and breakfast in commual dining room which was a good opportunity to caht with other guests.
