We liked the warm staff and the happy hour where we were able to meet other travelers.

The views were perfect !!.. the facilities were all very clean and tidy & the bedrooms with ensuites were great too. Plenty of items in the pantry - vegemite :) ! One of the best things was that we were able to get in earlier and also late check-out was super super helpful Thank you so much!!

Location was a winner. Nice walk to all the activities.

Location was fantastic a perfect view without having to walk down the hill to go to the restaurants and back up again. Huge balcony. We had overcast days which made the view change ever few minutes large living areas with comfortable beds. Everything you need they had. I could just have stayed sitting on the balcony with a drink and some food and not moved for the five days we stayed.

Nice and comfortable lounge, bedroom, bath room setting. Free wine tasting in small group(actually only us) was unexpected, and found truely premium Pinot /resieling which changed my perception of NZ wines. Enjoying a cup of tea at the table in the pergola with mountain view and vineyard near by. Missed out public wine tasting which should offer more bottles in the other building, well, probably another time. Staff in reception and restaurant are nice and helpful.

I don't know why they have such bad reviews, because the place is really nice. The check-in was smooth, and they let you keep your suitcases with them at their downtown office which is very convenient.

It's one thing to have a lake-view, it's another thing top have a lake-view without seeing ugly rooftops ahead of you. You see the lake side greenery and path leads to the lake-side walk, making a stroll to the town centre truly relaxing.

Dan and Mitzi made us feel right at home, their home made breakfasts were fantastic and they were able to cater to dietary requirements. Mitzi baked special treats each day that were delicious. Room was very cozy with nice fluffy robes and comfortable beds. Location was lovely and convenient.

The property itself is top quality - the build, the facilities, the appliances etc. The location on the hill gives incredible views across the bay and in the evening, the star studded sky. 10 mins from the centre of town. Very quiet - it was amazing. Thoroughly recommend.

I travel a lot and a good amount of enjoyment of travel is the comfort and style of accommodation. This property was perfect for our cycle group. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms, a great space to care and upkeep our bikes, space for us all to spread out at the end of long days. Plenty of 'stuff' unlike properties that provide one of each item for each guest (plates mugs etc) this property anticipates you will have multiple drinks meals etc between dishwasher runs. We really appreciated the efforts given to the comfort and experience of the guests.
