Nice hotel in Takayama. The onsen was very nice.

Onsen on the 9th floor. Great location, only 5 min from the old part of the city. Several good restaurants within 5 minutes walk

The private onsen was the best part of the trip. It is on the deck and you can literally spend hours soaking in the nature. In addition, the staff was beyond lovely and were extremely helpful. They even offered to draw me a map of the different walking routes. The food was also amazing at the restaurant. The chicken and pork were good as well as the hida beef. Room is very spacious. It is traditional Japanese so there is no standup shower but does how the stuff for a good onsen soak.

Everything. It is all about experiencing a true Japanese style. From the check in to the check out everything is perfect and well thought

Excellent quiet hotel. We stayed 2 nights there and they were nice to keep our luggage before and after the check-in and check-out time. The staff was super helpful and nice. Location is also great, very close to the train and bus station. Highly recommended!

A great place to experience Ryokan style accommodations. Fabulous dinners and Japanese breakfast. Clean if simple onsen facilities and spacious Japanese style room with semi open tub.

Close to everything, friendly staff, amazing dinner and breakfast, own onsen. We were able to get the complete Japan experience in one place

This was probably our favourite accommodation during our entire trip in Japan. Not only was takayama itself beautiful to travel to by train but the hospitality at Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan was amazing and I would definitely return here when I come to Takayama next. Would definitely recommend the traditional meal experience as well! They will also pick you up/drop you off at the train station as well for no extra cost!

The river view, tatami room, futon bed and the warmth welcome by staffs;Ono and the other chauffeur are very welcoming. I like how everything was arranged well by the hotel and I just relax here

We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and their warmth and kindness. We felt at home in this cozy and comfortable ryokan.

There is nothing i didn't like. The location is good, up in the hill that you can see the city, but close enough to walk around the city. The room is big and there is everything you need. It is a nice experience to stay in a raykon. The breakfast is good, you can try public or private onsen for an extra fee. Wifi works. Some of the staff speaks english.

The surroundings are so beautiful! I love that they have a free shuttle to take you from and to the station, but if you don’t make it on time for that, a taxi will cost around 10 usd. Also is less than 20 min walk. They include a Yukata, tea and delicious cookies in the bedroom, and let us use the private Onsen. The breakfast in the morning is huge and amazing and delicious, I highly recommend to get it. I love that have laundry and a nice map of the Ryokan so you don’t get lost. The host are so friendly and kind and fun. We had a great time and for sure would love to go back and stay there again. Highly recommended.

I totally recommend this hotel All facility is perfect .Very nice staff good in english I really love breakfast and dinner here. The public bath is very good .the staff will send you a code onsen room when you check in If i had a chance to visit takayama i will back to stay this hotel for sure . Thank you very much 🙏🏻
