The host, Heidi, was helpful, kind and went out of her way to make sure that our every need was catered for. The facility itself is stunning, very clean and comfortable. The views of the mountains and the fact that it is only a fifteen-minute walk to the beach make Heaven Scent a super spot to relax and enjoy nature. Views of the sun setting behind the mountain were spectacular. Thank you for creating and sharing this gem.

It was a winter stay with rain predicted...
Self entry and exit process.
The view from the bedrooms... oh man, amazing.
Right on the beach. And the night sky was exceptional. Lots of birds visiting.
The welcome pack is very helpful.

The villa is located of the end of a road in a very charming and calm area - perfect to get out of the hectic city and enjoy some days in nature. We enjoyed the stunning mountains view in the back and the ocean view and sound on the front. The owners, living in the left side of the property, are very kind and even welcomed us with food.

Proteus Beach House was just amazing! Everything was perfect : from the extremely warm welcome and the kindness of the hosts, to the villa itself, the pool, the balcony, the views .. We felt like living like kings for a full week. The village of Rooiels is so lovely and calm, with beautiful mountains on one side and the impressive sea on the other.

Perfect setting to unplug - no wi-fi, no TV - absolute bliss. The cottage is right on the rocks with beautiful sunset views over False Bay. The fire pit was perfect for the one clear night we had and the inside fireplace was very cozy when the weather turned on our second night. We didn't have any issues with the baboons in the area, but it is always best to be vigilant. Please respect all the local wild life and allow them the right of way!
