Tokyo

"Compared to other Asian countries, Tokyo has a lot of variety of good quality food! To be honest, the days are limited to taste all the amazing food that they have to offer. Nevertheless, the food is very heavy and does not have a lot of fiber in their diet, so I'd recommend buying Fibe-mini for gut help. As for sight-seeing, there are also limited things to see in Tokyo as compared to other Asian countries with Antiquity history. Still, visiting the most popular ones such as tokyo tower, asakusa, akihabara are all worth it. PS. For me, Team labs is not worth the hype. It's just good for IG, but it's mostly for kids."

"Great city with superb train transport to get anywhere. Loved Minoh Park specially as it was a lung of freshness to the hustle and bustle of the big city and yet very close to it. My recommendation to people, do visit Minoh park on your last day in Osaka to unwind and relax. Dotonburi is very crowded specially in the evenings and weekends so do plan well. Overall a superb holiday Osaka castle is also a beautiful place for a half day trip."

"Kyoto is truly one of my favorite cities in Japan—a perfect blend of timeless tradition and vibrant modern life. Beyond its iconic shrines, temples, and historic landmarks, the city reveals its soul in the quiet backstreets, charming neighborhoods, and bike-friendly boulevards. There’s a warmth here—a subtle hospitality—that sets it apart from other cities its size. While popular tourist spots buzz with activity, we found the most memorable moments in the tucked-away restaurants and serene corners that welcomed us with unforgettable food and heartfelt experiences. I highly recommend exploring Kyoto’s quieter side—you’ll find its true magic there."

"Maybe the most pleasant city I've visited in Japan--not historical like Kyoto or Tokyo (where I live). But it feels very livable and friendly with lots of beautiful water and parks and maybe some of the best food in the country. It's also very modern. I don't know if I would recommend it to international tourists planning a short vacation to Japan, but to people who are already familiar to the country it's a breath of fresh air."

"So many great food like tebasaki, hitsumabushi, and misokatsu! Lots to do around like Ghibli Park, Legoland, museums, and so many stores. If you want to go to Japan but want to avoid the tourists, I recommend Nagoya."

Hiroshima

One of 5,389 reviews:
"The city was great and the people were friendly and kind. Despite the horrible history of the city, you wouldn't even notice it despite the many monuments. The A-bomb dome and all the WW2 monuments were very interesting and tells a horrifying tale of the use of atomic weapons. Definitely a must visit when in Hiroshima. I also visited Miyajima, which is a very beautiful island with temples and shrines. I recommend going to the top of mount misen to see the outlook post and see how Hiroshima has rebuilt from a distance. I can recommend eating at the okinomimura - a "village" of okonomiyaki stalls all located in one building with many floors. The taste is amazing, but it is super filling, so be sure to be extra hungry when visiting."

Naha

One of 3,210 reviews:
"Naha Was a beautiful city. There is a lot of history on the island of Okinawa, so make sure you do your research to understand what went on many years ago. It was a little bit disappointing, that Naha is actually at the other end of the island, so getting to the aquarium, and all the beautiful swimming spots, is roughly a two hour bus ride. Make sure to do all your research. It was a very party based shopping in Naha, I felt. we got very drunk on the last night at a nice little Bar, it was amazing fun. I would recommend Okinawa two people who want to come for the history, or want to Party. It is very hot, so be prepared. You will be drinking a lot of Pocari sweat. There is vending machines everywhere, but very little bins. You can unload your rubbish in 711. Overall, we probably won’t rush to go back, one time is probably enough. We went for three days, and I think we ticked all the boxes of what Naha itself had to offer. Next time we go back to Okinawa, we would stay in the North"

One of 4,824 reviews:
"I love this hotel, very efficient check in and out with the machine. The staffs are very helpful and friendly (5 stars hospitality). We took the triple bed room, and enjoy our stay there. The location is very close to the market and Higashi Chaya… very recommended ! Sadly we didn’t get a chance to visit the garden/castle because of a rainy day , but other than that we really enjoy Kanazawa. There’s a shopping mall about 5 minutes walk from the hotel with a great food/supermarket area. It is accessible from an underground crossing at the cross road."
