Tokyo

One of 37,169 reviews:
"Compared to other Asian countries, Tokyo has a lot of variety of good quality food! To be honest, the days are limited to taste all the amazing food that they have to offer. Nevertheless, the food is very heavy and does not have a lot of fiber in their diet, so I'd recommend buying Fibe-mini for gut help. As for sight-seeing, there are also limited things to see in Tokyo as compared to other Asian countries with Antiquity history. Still, visiting the most popular ones such as tokyo tower, asakusa, akihabara are all worth it. PS. For me, Team labs is not worth the hype. It's just good for IG, but it's mostly for kids."

"Great city. Soooo much to do and see. Give yourself a destination, maybe find a small business you want to explore. Google it, then go find it by whatever means it takes. Ride the city bus, the train, subway whatever. You'll see stuff you wouldn't otherwise see and do. It's a wonderful way to discover new things. Every mode of transportation we used was both clean safe and always on time. If you get "lost" folks are more than happy to help you. They may even walk you three blocks or more to find a coffee shop. I had never been to Japan, but highly recommend it to anyone that likes to travel and try new things! We've been all over the world, Japan is right up there with the best of the best."

"Kyoto is truly one of my favorite cities in Japan—a perfect blend of timeless tradition and vibrant modern life. Beyond its iconic shrines, temples, and historic landmarks, the city reveals its soul in the quiet backstreets, charming neighborhoods, and bike-friendly boulevards. There’s a warmth here—a subtle hospitality—that sets it apart from other cities its size. While popular tourist spots buzz with activity, we found the most memorable moments in the tucked-away restaurants and serene corners that welcomed us with unforgettable food and heartfelt experiences. I highly recommend exploring Kyoto’s quieter side—you’ll find its true magic there."

"Maybe the most pleasant city I've visited in Japan--not historical like Kyoto or Tokyo (where I live). But it feels very livable and friendly with lots of beautiful water and parks and maybe some of the best food in the country. It's also very modern. I don't know if I would recommend it to international tourists planning a short vacation to Japan, but to people who are already familiar to the country it's a breath of fresh air."

"So many great food like tebasaki, hitsumabushi, and misokatsu! Lots to do around like Ghibli Park, Legoland, museums, and so many stores. If you want to go to Japan but want to avoid the tourists, I recommend Nagoya."

"We enjoyed our 4 days stay in Sapporo during autumn months of late October. The weather was just perfect and the trees were magical with yellow, orange and red colours. Our trip to Toya lake, Biei Pond, shikasen falls, Otaru city etc were good add-ons to further experience this island. Highly recommend adding it in your Japan itinerary."

Naha

632 hotels
One of 3,214 reviews:
"Naha Was a beautiful city. There is a lot of history on the island of Okinawa, so make sure you do your research to understand what went on many years ago. It was a little bit disappointing, that Naha is actually at the other end of the island, so getting to the aquarium, and all the beautiful swimming spots, is roughly a two hour bus ride. Make sure to do all your research. It was a very party based shopping in Naha, I felt. we got very drunk on the last night at a nice little Bar, it was amazing fun. I would recommend Okinawa two people who want to come for the history, or want to Party. It is very hot, so be prepared. You will be drinking a lot of Pocari sweat. There is vending machines everywhere, but very little bins. You can unload your rubbish in 711. Overall, we probably won’t rush to go back, one time is probably enough. We went for three days, and I think we ticked all the boxes of what Naha itself had to offer. Next time we go back to Okinawa, we would stay in the North"

Hiroshima

One of 5,388 reviews:
"Hiroshima is a thriving city now, which we were glad to see. We walked around on our own one afternoon and had an excellent (and moving) local tour of the Peace Park and related memorials the next morning. For lunch we had a delicious local Okonomiyaki. For dinner we tried oysters done in five different preparations, as it is another specialty of the area. (They are quite large, however, and not our favorite.) We never got to the castle or gardens, and did not visit Miyajima, which is why I would have liked one more night. But it was enough time for the basics. We would recommend that everyone take the time to visit Hiroshima. It is part of our collective history and essential now to understand the dangers we all face in today's volatile world."

One of 4,829 reviews:
"I love this hotel, very efficient check in and out with the machine. The staffs are very helpful and friendly (5 stars hospitality). We took the triple bed room, and enjoy our stay there. The location is very close to the market and Higashi Chaya… very recommended ! Sadly we didn’t get a chance to visit the garden/castle because of a rainy day , but other than that we really enjoy Kanazawa. There’s a shopping mall about 5 minutes walk from the hotel with a great food/supermarket area. It is accessible from an underground crossing at the cross road."
